GROWING THEM INTO WHO THEY WERE MADE TO BE.
Our vision is to see children:
develop an understanding and love for God's word.
know the various Bible stories and see Jesus in them.
know and understand the gospel message.
discover and unfold their identity in God.
learn to hear God's voice, understand what is being said, and know how to communicate that to others.
grow in real genuine relationship with God.
move in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
"I WILL POUR MY SPIRIT OUT UPON ALL FLESH. YOUR SONS & DAUGHTERS WILL PROPHECY. YOUR YOUNG MEN WILL SEE VISIONS..." ACTS 2:17| JOEL 2:28
CHILDREN GET THE SAME HOLY SPIRIT AS ADULTS. LET'S TEACH THEM WITH THAT IN MIND.
How we are going to do that...
Great curriculums from world-class children's ministries.
Provide training to our ministry leaders.
Provide opportunities to grow in God and be stretched.
Create a loving, accountable and nurturing environment.
Sundays - what it's like...
Children are welcome to be part of our worship through music, after which Children's Church will kick off in another room. Parents will need to check their children in after worship and collect them after the service.
For our launch month, we will have an exciting programme of activities for all ages until we grow to a size with more defined age groupings, until then we will be one Children's Church group.
We think it will look something like this:
Our 1.5 - 3 year olds will have a bible story time, a prayer moment, and an age-appropriate activity game. Our goal is to develop a familiarity with prayer, begin to know the Bible stories, and help with child development through games designed for their specific developmental stage.
Our 4 - 6 year olds will be focused on telling Bible stories through a multi-media approach including drama, singing, craft, puppetry, figurines, drawing, and story-telling (narration). Our goal is to communicate the bible story and reveal Jesus and the Gospel in it.
Our 7 - 12 year olds will be focused on learning how to hear from God and have a deep relationship with him. Our intention will be to grow them in their confidence in God and lay a strong foundation for entering their teenage years. It is really exciting and we are looking forward to seeing what God does amongst our young people.
